Aimed at people who don’t know where wool comes from, it’s 100% plastic. Yes, plastic.
So any garment you wash will release microfibres into the sea. It’ll never decompose.
You’re supposed to believe that sheep shearing is violent and cruel. There are imbeciles out there that work in an unprofessional manner while shearing, but that’s not the case overall.
Sheep don’t suffer from having their fleece removed.
Left on, the fleece can become a home for fly eggs and the subsequent maggots which can eat the sheep. Chemical treatments are available to prevent that happening. It’s much better for the sheep, the land and the farmer to avoid chemical use.
Don’t be fooled. Wool is a sustainable material, one we should make more and better use of.
It’s been three years since DashCon and Fyre Fest has happened. Meaning that in accordance to the Rule of Three, in another three years, a third and final gathering catastrophe will occur with its own symbol joining the ball pit and concierge stand to create an ungodly trifecta.
i saw someone in the tags a while back talking about how mama isnt about being trans because gerard isnt trans and it's gross to say he's trans/this song could be about a trans woman when hes cis and i was like... buddy... first off gerard is likely not cis and even if he is he has questioned himself repeatedly and experimented with gender presentation enough that he would definitely write a song exploring that and secondly... trans fans can interpret songs however they fuckgin want so fuck off?
yea i mean you can interpret the song however you like but mama really isn’t about being trans, the whole context of the song is about war, the line about you should have raised a baby girl i could’ve been a better son is like…only men were drafted for the war. that’s what that line is saying and besides the fact that like honestly even though gerard has gender feels, trans visibility and general knowledge on those topics was close to nonexistent in 2006/2006 when he wrote the lyrics to that song.
i’m not gonna tell someone how they can and can’t interpret songs because like that’s what music is about and that’s the beauty of it, someone writes songs and then you take it and make it what you want. but if you were to ask me if i think the song is a statement on gender or being trans i would say no.
